Dear Marit!
SvarSlettWhat a truly wonderful view and such a bright blue sky!
You really have beautiful orchids, and that poinsettia is still so beautiful! I used to grow poinsettias for years, but I could no longer get them to have colored leaves. It's so nice to watch the little birds, and luckily the weather has warmed up, which is much nicer for the little birds! Here with us it is sunny too, although sometimes it rains in many different forms.
All the best to You!
Hugs!
Dear Saila!
SlettYes, the view is very nice there, and the weather was so nice yesterday. Thank you very much. Yes, my poinsettia has lasted a very long time, and the white bracts are still on. Where I lived before, I had a separate room with lights that were set to 10 hours of light and 14 hours without light. I got them to bloom again. It was a lot of fun.
Yes, that's absolutely true, because now the temperature is better for them too.
March always gives us very varied weather, and that's how it always tends to be. It's the beginning of the end of winter!
All the best to you!
Hugs!
Hello,
SvarSlettPretty sky capture. You have a nice collection of birds there. I love all your orchids, they are lovely. Take care, enjoy your day!
Hello Eileen,
SlettYes, they are here every day. Thank you. Take care, and have a great day!
SlettKlem
SlettTusen takk, Gitte.
Such lovely orchids and I have trouble believing or should I say my eyes seeing that you have lovely plants growing in your area in the winter. Amazing.
SvarSlettThe orchids grows in my kitchen Margaret, and not outside in my garden. My climate is too cold for them. In my kitchen they thrive very well. Take care.
Hello Frau Mayer,
SlettThank you. Yes, the view is beautiful. Many birds are here every day, and they need a lot of food when it's winter. That's nice that you like orchids too. They are wonderful plants.
Kind regards from Norway.
SlettSo here you go, Marit, spring is already giving you little hints that it is not so far away, and the birds have come to rejoice with you. It is happening here, too. Yesterday the temperature climbed to six degrees with bright sunshine and melting snow, and within a few days it is supposed to get up to fourteen! I shall have to find the suntan lotion and the patio umbrella! Hugs and kisses - David
SvarSlettYes David, spring always comes suddenly. I wouldn't say it's spring yet, but the snow is melting and that's a good sign of spring anyway. It was -6 last night, so winter won't give up yet. Yes, the birds are singing outside, and it's so wonderful to listen to. 14 degrees sounds absolutely wild. I hope there won't be any flooding near you! Here it's sunny and 5 degrees, and I had to put up the doors to the greenhouse because it gets very hot there now that the sun is high in the sky.
SlettHugs and kisses, Marit
Have a nice day!
SvarSlettHave a nice day you too!
SlettDear Marit,
SvarSlettthank you so much for your kind comments – and it's absolutely no problem if you don't reply to a comment right away: I often get around to replying late myself. As you've seen on my blog, things are always very busy here (so there's often not much time for my long blog rounds 😉😅...).
Now, about your latest post – that wonderfully blue winter sky your son photographed is truly a balm. Beautiful flowers, on the other hand, soothe the soul when the sun is reluctant to shine. You clearly have a knack for orchids and poinsettias (I, unfortunately, don't...) – they're all so beautiful!
And the many birds in your winter garden are lovely too. The Merlin app is also very helpful for me in identifying bird calls. (I'm gradually getting better, but I'm still often unsure.) Since you mentioned migratory birds: Edi showed me a newspaper article a few days ago saying that the first stork has already arrived in Marchegg! (That's where we also saw the wild horses.) Yay! 😊👍🏻
All the best, Traude
Dear Traude,
SlettThanks for your comment too!
It gets a bit random when I write a comment, but I often write it right away 😀
You just have to write comments when you have time. That's what's so great about blogging, because nothing gets lost there.
Thank you so much. We've had such great weather lately, and the sky has been bright blue. I really like houseplants, and especially orchids.
Yes, there are a lot of birds here all year round. I feed them a lot, because the winters are hard for the birds here. I think bird sounds can be difficult to recognize, so that app is brilliant. It sounds exciting to see a stork. They don't exist here.
All the best, Marit
I do like to put treats outside for the birds here in Winter too but we don't get snow.
SvarSlettI guess birds like treats anyway. Here I need to feed them all the time when the weather is so cold.
Muchos besos.
SvarSlettThank you, Teresa. Many hugs.
